It is with great excitement and gratitude that McGill Hose & Coupling, Inc. is announcing the retirement of Al Balasco! Although we are saddened that we will no longer be able to see Al’s smiling face in our Rhode Island branch every day, we are so very happy for him to step into this next phase of his career!
Al has been a fixture in the East Providence, RI fluid conveyance community for the past 30 plus years. Since 1992, when he went to work for his brother at RNB-Richardson, Inc., until today at McGill Hose & Coupling, he has been a key resource for countless people in Rhode Island who found themselves needing a hose replacement to get them back on the job.
Al was also an integral part of the transition from RNB-Richardson to McGill Hose & Coupling back in 2012. Tapping into his knowledge of the East Providence market from the prior 20 years allowed McGill to be quickly welcomed into the community. His presence also gave McGill’s new customers a needed sense of familiarity and high quality service they had come to expect.
Again, the team here at McGill Hose & Coupling will truly miss Al and everything he brought to our team and customers every day. We wish him and his wife the best in his retirement years.

McGill Hose & Coupling Celebrates 60 Years in Business and their New Facility
McGill Hose and Coupling, Inc., held an open house on September 8th at their new 84,000 sq ft headquarters, fabrication center and retail store located at 45 Industrial Drive in East Longmeadow Massachusetts to celebrate their 60 year milestone. The event was attended by employees, customers, vendors, supply partners, Massachusetts State Legislators and local chamber of commerce, and was an opportunity to introduce their newly expanded fabrication facility. The custom hose and fittings fabrication expansion allows them to better serve their customers metal hose fabrication, tube bending and PTFE hose fabrication needs- all under one roof. The McGill Team of welders and hose fabrication specialists were on hand to demonstrate their customization capabilities.“Many of our competitors offer certain aspects of the customization and fabrication services we offer, but we are able to do it all – right under one roof,” states McGill Hose President Harry McGill.The McGill Family received recognition from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by State Representative Brian Ashe for their contribution to the Commonwealth and the local business community.
