Position: Inside Sales / Customer Service
McGill Hose and Coupling, Inc. is looking for experienced and energetic people to join our growing inside sales team. The ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience in the field of industrial distribution with a proven record of success.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering inbound sales calls to help place orders, deliver quotations, solve application problems, up sell and deliver exceptional service.
- Entering all orders and quotes via email, phone and fax.
- Teaming with outside sales force to develop new and existing customer relationships.
- Ensure timely delivery of all orders.
- Maintain proper documentation of quality control records throughout the order process.
- Following up on open quotes and supplier leads.
- Cold calling new and existing customers via phone and email in order to generate new business.
- Coordinating warehouse activity including assembly, inventory control and shipping.
Skill requirements:
- Excellent selling skills
- Positive and happy attitude
- Flawless attendance
- Excellent phone skills
- Fluent with Microsoft windows applications
- Comfortable reading and working with excel spreadsheets
- Ability and desire to multitask
- Comfortable with technical selling
- Available to work a few extra hours to get the job done exceeding customer expectations
